Creative space of the new SMYK headquarters in D48 office building
The new headquarters of SMYK with an area of 6,000 sqm is located on two floors of D48 office building from Penta Real Estate portfolio, located in the very center of Służewiec business district, at the intersection of Domaniewska and Postępu streets.
This is the place where collections of clothes, shoes, and toys for children are designed, later be found in SMYK’s international chain of stores. The Trzop Architects studio designed a modern, joyful place, supporting everyday, creative challenges of the team of the children's products iconic brand. Referring to the specifics of the Investor's industry, the space includes motifs of multi-colored drawings, lively, optimistic colors and places inspired by the playground in the city park .
Guided by the principle that the office is to be a second home for employees and the place of creative team work, the designers of Trzop Architects set out to create a space that promotes creativity, ensures concentration and unlimited communication between employees.
‘– SMYK's office has been equipped with ergonomic work places, offices, conference rooms, meeting places and rest areas. Unlike other parts of the SMYK headquarters, colors used in the open-space are subdued and neutral, emphasizing the loft character of the interior. Such aesthetic increases concentration and leaves room for creative thinking. Good lighting, high acoustic parameters, and air quality improved by greenery filling the office in accordance with the idea of biophilic design, all this contributes to the comfort, satisfaction, and efficiency of employees’ – commented Bartosz Trzop, architect, founder and president of the board of Trzop Architects.
Informal meetings, rest and building relationships are supported by a recreation zone established in the heart of the office. Space has been equipped with an open staircase
and, alternatively - for those who miss a bit of carefree childhood - a yellow slide winding around an olive tree. Just behind them, designers placed SMYK logo in the form of a soft niche. Over 300 sqm canteen is a space for integration and a great convenience for people working in the office.
‘– Three words that most often are indicated by our guests, partners and – most importantly – our colleagues are creativity, informality and integration. I think that these words best describe our new Warsaw headquarters’ – said Jarosław Nuszczyński, HR Director, SMYK S.A.
